Ruslan Russian 3 is a continuation of the Ruslan course to advanced level. The action takes place in Irkutsk and around Lake Baikal. Lyudmila and Ruslan go to visit Uncle Kolya, a pensioner in Irkutsk. This is a 10 lesson course incorporating the necessary constructions for AS and A2 level Russian. There is a large variety of reading and listening material about Russia on cultural, literary and historical themes, as well as material for developing vocabulary and communication skills.

MORE COMMENTS ON THE RUSLAN COURSE:
"For the first time in my career as a teacher of Russian to adults
I do not feel a need to apologise to the students for the resources
we’re using. I feel I am teaching with the book, not in spite of it."
Yvonne Elliott, Milton Keynes.
"We appreciate the course for its clarity and abundance of activities.
It is enjoyable, and provides suitable material for teaching Russian
in the business environment."
Marie-Chantal Lugg, Tailored Languages, Dorchester.
"Ruslan’s lively style and systematic presentation of grammar for adult
beginners make it a market leader in its field."
Terry Wade, Glasgow.
"Over the last year I have reviewed around thirty different books, tapes
and computer programs! I am pleased to tell you that "Ruslan" has been our choice!"
Charles Summers. US Director General, Oryx Energy, Kazakhstan.
"My heartfelt congratulations on these two discs (Ruslan 2 and "Cold War").
As a student I have now worked through them several times.
They set a high standard in terms of the way this medium should be used.
The immediacy of responses, the repeat facility, the control given to the
student, the reward for success indicated, and so on .. all exploit the
technological possibilities and make this the most pleasurable learning
material yet found.
In addition I would express my appreciation of the care and consideration
put into the construction - culturally, pedagogically, and in terms of
interest and humour."
Ray Thomas. Lecturer. Open University.
