RUSLAN RUSSIAN GRAMMAR. HELP NEEDED PLEASE!
This is a project that I have been working on since September 2008. It will be an A4 or slightly smaller book of 200 plus pages. It will have a similar design to the "Living Russian Grammar" book that I currently distribute, but it will have more detailed explanations, and will be written with English learners of Russian in mind. I am hoping to have it published by the end of 2009.

Here are the draft contents and a few sample pages. Teachers please feel free to try them out with your students.
Ruslan Russian Grammar. Draft contents page
Sections 21-24. The Instrumental.

One thing that I want to do is to include a large number of photos and other illustrations, short pieces of poetry, jokes and extracts from songs that illustrate particular grammar points. This type of content will make the book more exciting and the examples more memorable.

But I cannot possibly find enough such photos etc myself. I am therefore asking teachers and learners, and especially people travelling to Russia with a camera, to please look out for such items for me, and please send me anything that you think may be suitable. If your suggestion is included I will offer you a free copy of the book when published. Teachers also please let me have any ideas for short poems, songs and jokes that illustrate particular points. In my experience, every teacher knows a few of these, but it would be good to put a large number of such examples together in one volume.

To give you some examples. I met a guy with a Russian t-shirt last week who let me take his photo for the dative, and another dative example that a colleague found for me last year in a small town near Yalta. See below.

With thanks in advance for any help you can give.
